The Best Choice of Mobile Phones & Mobile Phone Deals Reviews Online
1. O2 Xda II Mini

If you want a smart phone but want to avoid unsightly pocket bulges, you could do well to consider O2’s slimmed down XDA II mini.

Reader Opinion

Works fine and serves purpose. Not as cozy as a regular mobile phone but handy as a PDA phone. Hangs occasionally, but a soft reset sorts the problem. A mini flash would have made the cam effective. Overall, I like the piece.

2. Motorola V3 Razr

The graceful Motorola V3 is the thinnest clamshell to date and a stunningly crafted mobile for style-conscious individuals and professionals alike.

Reader Opinion

Phone is fantastic. I can Bluetooth with my T5 and Mac flawlessly. Syncs apple address book and iCal easily. The best feature of this phone is its thinness (in your pocket it’s unnoticeable). Only complaint I have are the smart keys on the side of the phone. Not necessary.

3. Sony Ericsson K750i

With a 2-megapixel camera, MP3 playback, FM radio, video recording, Bluetooth, 32MB of internal memory and a 64MB Memory Stick thrown in, Sony Ericsson’s K750i might be the hottest phone of 2005. We’ll have to wait until Q2 to see it, though.

Reader Opinion

If you do not intend to use your phone as a high-speed wireless modem for your laptop, this is the perfect phone that tops the list. I love the Memory Stick Duo slot! Great for holding lots of MP3s.

4. Sony Ericsson K700i

Sony Ericsson’s K700i is a stylish little phone with a top notch interface and a host of features to keep you entertained while staying connected.

Reader Opinion

The K700i is one of the best phones I’ve ever had and it works like a dream. I have had Nokias for my whole life and only now that I realised that they are only expensive because of their brand name. The K700i is a great buy.

5. Sony Ericsson W800i

Sony Ericsson is releasing the first Walkman-branded mobile phone in Q3, claiming up to 30 hours of MP3 playback and throwing in a whopping 512MB Memory Stick. It also sports a 2-megapixel camera.

Reader Opinion

Such a great piece of technology. Nokia and Samsung should be quaking in their boots now!

Best-Selling Mobile Phones

Today, the consumer is confronted with a bewildering array of new phone models with exciting new features included in them. The uninitiated will surely have a hard time distinguish what is a good buy or not based on those features alone. The thing to look for in new mobile phones is first and foremost its functionality. The unit you will buy should of course have a value-for-money proposition. This homepage will discuss the few major categories of mobile phones that came out of the market lately.

The latest gadgets include new features such as video streaming technology which allows you to view video pictures like you would view a movie at home. This makes your mobile phone a portable TV in your palm. It is simply amazing what these scientists have been able to think up these days. Mobile phones are getting smarter and lighter with prices continuing to go down due to improved manufacturing techniques. Some phones feature FM/AM radios as well as Bluetooth technology which are becoming more common in the newer models.

Sometimes the potential buyer cannot decide on exactly what features he or she wants. The bewildering array of new features makes it imperative to have some guidance on the features that are most useful in terms of function. Additional features include GPS functions and extended or expandable memory with the additional purchase of memory sticks. These memory sticks make your cellular phone a virtual jukebox since you can now download as many music files that you like. The choice is virtually endless. What will limit your phone’s capabilities is your own imagination.

As what I mentioned earlier, mobile phones today are not only getting smarter and lighter but also getting smaller. Most of the new models are so small that you can hardly notice them if you put it inside your shirt pocket. An advice is to attach them with a chain to your belt so they do not get lost or misplaced easily.

If you are not exactly in a race to beat your officemate in buying the latest model of mobile phone, it might be wiser to wait for a few months after a new model’s market introduction. Six months is usually the time it takes for the manufacturer to come out with another new model and the previous model that you salivated to buy is now much cheaper, perhaps by as much as 15-20% when it was initially introduced.
